Alright, those are our last games until Monday, when we'll be back with the All-Star Game.
Reminder, ASG votes are due via the GM Tools by noon on Monday. We've got a couple GMs who haven't completed their ballots yet.
As mentioned in today's schedule notes, voting for the S39 All-Star Game rosters is now open via the GM Tools.
Please remember, voting is a required action.
The deadline for voting is officially noon on the day the ASG is set to be played. Because of my slightly-intense schedule over the next couple weeks, there are going to be some gaps in simming, which will push the ASG out later than it looks. I expect that Day 83 will be simmed on Friday, 9/27. We're off on Saturday and Sunday, then back with Day 84 on Monday. This would put Day 88 - the All-Star Game, on Friday, 10/4. Except there will be no sim that weekend, either.
Congrats to Ryan Shuya and the Boston Bruins, winners of the Season 39 Challenge Tournament. Looks like the Bruins are picking right back up where they left off.
We'll take our traditional day off tomorrow and then the regular season opens on Wednesday. Good luck everyone.
Alright, despite some technical difficulties, the Waiver Draft is done.
As always, I'll keep trying to figure out what's been causing slowness with the site. I have some upgrades that I want to do but I need to do some other things to make those upgrades easier and I can't say when that will all come together.
That's a wrap on the Season 39 Entry Draft. I'll be running post-draft re-rates (the process that applies ratings to any eligible players who were picked in the draft) shortly. I'll also be generating our regular season schedule.
I'd like to welcome Ryan Shuya as the new general manager of the DFHL's Boston Bruins.
I've given Ryan a run-down on all of the upcoming league events, so he's aware of the chaos he's coming into. With him taking over the Bruins, we'll proceed with Monday's Entry Draft per our usual procedures.
Boston Bruins general manager Cory Jordan (Gordie) has announced his resignation from the DFHL.
We've got a few people on the waiting list, many of whom are also on the waiting list for the NSHL, where Gordie has also resigned. I'd prefer bring in a different person in each league. Given that the DFHL has a draft scheduled in just over a week, the DFHL is my priority. Also, given that the Bruins are the defending Memorial Trophy Champions, I want to give the rest of the league an opportunity to give any thoughts on if we should do things differently this time.
Alright, it's hardly a strong consensus but our proposed draft schedule got a couple "do it earlier" votes, a few "do it later" votes, and five "just right" votes, so we're going to move forward with it.
With season awards having been announced, the DFHL site has officially moved over to "Season 39 Mode."
I'm going to try to get re-rates done over the next couple days. There are no new ratings so the S38 ratings will carry over with updated player eligibility applied.
That's a wrap on the DFHL's 38th season. Congratulations to Cory Jordan and the Boston Bruins on their Memorial Trophy Championship. That's Cory's first time winning the DFHL and the second for the Bruins.
